Starting 2025 Strong With Energizing Changes

Updated: Mar 1

Now that January’s here, it’s a great time to settle back into routines and focus on what feels most important this year.

With the fresh start of a new year, I couldn’t resist reaching out to reconnect and share a little inspiration to help you kick off 2025 feeling strong and grounded.

January always feels like a clean slate, but—those big, sweeping resolutions we’ve all made at some point? They don’t usually stick. What really works is leaning into small, energizing changes that build momentum. Little things, done consistently, can change how we feel and show up for ourselves.

Here are some ideas I love:

1. Setting goals can feel like more chores - how about ANCHORING THEM TO HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL?

  • Instead of just saying, “I want to lose weight,” focus on how you want to FEEL—energized, confident, or stronger.

  • Instead of saying, “I’ll work out every day,” think, “I want to FEEL strong and capable, so I’ll move my body in ways that feel good to me.”

Feels different, doesn’t it? When I connect my actions to those feelings, it’s easier to show up.

2. Something else that can make a big difference: CELEBRATING TINY WINS EVERY DAY.

Drank water before coffee? Win. Took a 5-minute stretch break during work? Win. Showed up even when you didn’t feel like it? Huge win. Packed a snack instead of grabbing something random? Big win. These moments matter more than we think. It’s those little moments that add up to who we ultimately want to become.

TIP: Write down one thing you did well each day—no matter how small.

3. TRY A “YES, AND” MINDSET.

  • If life feels busy, tell yourself, “Yes, I have a lot going on, AND I can still fit in a 5-minute walk or prep a healthy snack.”

  • Yes, I’m exhausted after a long day, AND I can still take 5 minutes to breathe deeply and stretch before bed to help me unwind.

It’s about recognizing your current reality while finding a small, manageable way to move forward. This mindset helps shift the focus from “either/or” thinking to a more flexible and empowering approach.

I’d love to hear from you: What’s one small thing you’re focusing on this month?  Comment and let me know—I’m always cheering you on.
